Mat and Louis first met while working on a restoration project at the Palace of Westminster. Their complementary skills and shared approach to craftsmanship allow them to work seamlessly together.

Mathew Millen

Mathew is a highly skilled and accredited stonemason with over 25 years of professional experience in architectural carving, stone restoration, and heritage conservation. Holding NVQ Level 3 and Heritage Skills Accreditation Level B, he has worked on some of the UK’s most iconic and historic buildings, including Buckingham Palace, Westminster Abbey, St Pauls Cathedral and the House of Commons. Renowned for his craftsmanship and attention to detail, Mathew has earned accolades such as a bronze medal at the CITB Skillbuild competition which resulted in participation in The World Skills Selection Programme for the Skills Olympics and commendations from the Monarchy for his exceptional contributions to heritage projects.

Louis Clark

Louis is a highly experienced and accomplished stonemason specialising in heritage restoration, carving, and conservation. With an NVQ Level 3 Diploma in Heritage Skills, he has contributed to prominent projects such as the Palace of Westminster, Chichester Cathedral, Old Royal Naval College and The Royal Pavilion Brighton. Renowned for his precision, problem-solving skills, and dedication, Louis has played a key role in award-winning restoration projects, including the 2018 National Stone Award. Proficient in setting out, fixing, and bespoke carving, he consistently produces exceptional work across a wide range of masonry tasks.
