ABOUT ESTABLISHED STONE
Mat and Louis first met while working on a restoration project at the Palace of Westminster, where they quickly recognised the advantages of collaborating. Their complementary skills and shared approach to craftsmanship allowed them to work seamlessly together.
As their partnership developed, they realised that their combined expertise positioned them well for intricate and high-profile masonry projects. Their ability to refine and adapt traditional techniques enabled them to take on increasingly complex work.
Following a series of relief carvings for a prestigious project in Knightsbridge, and with another carving package approaching at the Houses of Parliament, they decided to formalise their collaboration. This led to the creation of Established Stone. Their first project under this name saw them overseeing all aspects of masonry at St. Stephen’s Hall, where they were responsible for surveying, detailing, hand carving, and restoring a variety of historic elements.
With a deep respect for heritage craftsmanship and a commitment to precision, Mat and Louis continue to apply their skills to restoration and masonry projects of the highest caliber.

Beyond their restoration work, Mat and Louis are constantly developing innovative ideas to offer unique, bespoke products to their clientele. Their deep understanding of stone craftsmanship, combined with a forward-thinking approach, allows them to create distinctive pieces that merge tradition with creativity. Whether restoring historic landmarks or crafting something entirely new, they bring the same level of precision, artistry, and passion to every project.
